Margaret Ann Polo (Jessop) passed away peacefully at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre on Thursday, April 16, 2026.

Margaret is now reunited with her beloved parents, Louis and Mary Jessop, and her brother, James (Jim) Jessop, who predeceased her.

She will be profoundly missed by her devoted husband, Michael Polo. Margaret was the loving and supportive mother of Andrea Polo (Chris Ball) and the cherished grandmother of Nathan and Leah Marnell. She is also fondly remembered by Mark Marnell and his family.

Margaret was defined by her generous spirit and kind heart. She was a woman of deep devotion, especially in her role as a grandmother, where she poured her love and energy into Nathan and Leah. Her home and heart were always open, and she held a special place in her life for Andrea’s childhood friends, who remained dear to her over the years. Her legacy of warmth and selflessness will continue to live on through the many lives she touched.

As a loving aunt, Margaret held a special place in the hearts of her nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her cousin and lifelong best friend, Nancy Wilkes (Novack), whose companionship and shared memories were a source of great joy throughout her life. Margaret will be deeply missed by her extended family and many dear friends.

No funeral will be held.

A celebration of life will be held on a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the RVH Foundation.
