Margaret (Pat) Patricia Valley

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Margaret Patricia Valley (nee Sproule) on November 29, 2024 at Hospice Simcoe. Pat was surrounded by loving family at the end of her battle with cancer. She was one week short of turning 84.

She will be greatly missed by her devoted husband of 62 years Donald Valley, her loving children Jocelyn (Alan Brown), Donald, Marsha and Joanne Valley, her adoring grandchildren Aidan and Jacob Brown, and her admiring sister Joanne Cunningham (Sandy). She was predeceased by her parents Claire and Josephine, and her brothers Claire (Cathy) and Fred (Doris) Sproule.

Pat grew up in Collingwood and treasured her times spent at Glen Huron with her extended family. She moved to Barrie to participate in the nursing program at Royal Victoria Hospital, marrying Don and staying in Barrie to raise her family. She nursed for almost 40 years, and was profoundly moved by the people she cared for.

Pat will be interred in the spring with a small gathering of close family.
