Margaret Lillian Duncan (nee Flude), in her ninetieth year, surrounded by the love of her family, went to meet her lord and saviour on March 15, 2026, at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie.

Born on October 19, 1936, in Toronto, Ontario, Margaret lived a life defined by love and dedication to her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Russell Jack Duncan, mother of seven children, and was the glue that held her family together.

Margaret is survived by her children Dave Legros, Michelle Laube (Stan), Kathy Crowe (Keith), Sandy Dilworth (Matt Pfaff), Will Legros (Ingrid) and Trish Duncan-Girard (Bishop) and was predeceased by her son Gord Legros. She leaves behind thirteen deeply cherished grandchildren: Gord, Matt, Laura, Danielle, Stephanie, Allison, Jackie, Alex, Liam, Nate, Andie, Hannah and Owen. She will be missed by her six great grandchildren and was looking forward to the arrival of three more in 2026.

A funeral service will be held at Basic Funerals-Jennett Memorial Centre, 152 Bradford Street, Barrie on Monday March 23, 2026, visitation at 1:00 pm, service at 2:00 pm with reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Barrie Food Bank, Salvation Army or Sick Kids Foundation, all causes close to Mom’s heart.

The family wishes to thank everyone who provided loving care and support for Mom. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
