On April 15, 2026, Lucille Bristow stepped out of the shadow of Alzheimer’s disease to join her beloved husband, Quentin, amongst the stars. A lover of books, music, garden blooms and animals, she appreciated beauty in all its myriad forms. Gentle hearted, sharp-minded and loyal, she graced the lives of those she loved with her commitment, determination and impeccable taste. Twenty years of living with Alzheimer’s could not rob Lucille of her quiet dignity, which she kept until the end. She is free at last.

Lucille will be missed by her much-cherished grandson Thomas, daughter Krista and son-in-law, Robert. Brother, Gaston, sister-in-law, Francine, and beloved niece, Marie-Josée, are already waiting for her on the other side. Heartfelt thanks to both Dr. Emilio Bazile (Bruyère) and Dr. Daniel Cameron (St. Patrick’s long-term care), this journey would have been impossible without you. We are also deeply thankful to all the many kind, compassionate souls who watched over and enriched Lucille’s life for the last twelve years both at Stillwater Creek and finally, at St. Patrick’s home. You were all there until the end…what would we have done without you?
