We sadly announce that Louise Anita Boutet (née Dumaresq), also known lovingly as Weezie and Yogi, born December 4, 1947, passed peacefully on May 29, 2026 at Grace Hill Retirement Home from progression of Alzheimer's disease. She was 78.
Louise is predeceased by father Thomas Dumaresq and mother Jeannine (née Bisson). She is survived by husband and constant companion, Andy Boutet. She leaves behind eldest son Philippe Bouchard and his children Maève and Sacha; daughter Julie Burke, her husband Patrick, and their children Rowan and Declan; son Marc, his wife Samantha, and their daughters Amelia and Gabrielle; and youngest son Mish, his wife Erin Bidlake, and their son Zack. She is also survived by sister Michele Allard, brother Jacques and sister-in-law Annie, brother Robert and sister-in-law Linda, and their children and grandchildren.
Louise loved babies, which prompted her career as a Registered Nurse in newborn care. She loved angels, animals, gemstones, jewellery, green tea, and bargains, or as she called them, “bargoons”. She loved all the dogs, cats, and birds she cared for as pets, including those she leaves to look after Andy, dogs Bella and Rusty and cats Clarence and BW the Second.
Angels, continue to watch over Louise, and—following the advice she would give us—we thank you in advance.
A celebration will be held at a later date.
Those who wish may consider a donation to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
