Louis Mathurin

It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Louis Mathurin, born January 22, 1949. Louis lived a life defined by dedication, quiet strength, and unwavering love for his family.

Louis was a proud and devoted employee of OC Transpo, where he served as a respected bus operator (OPT 993) from 1975 until his retirement in 2005. Over his 30 years of service, he became known for his reliability, professionalism, and the steady presence he brought to colleagues and passengers alike. He took great pride in his work and in serving the Ottawa community.

Above all, Louis was a family man. He is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Sandra; his children, Sean (Kelly-Ann) and Meghan; and his daughter-in-law, Martha. He was a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren and a cherished great-grandfather to five great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense joy.

Louis is also survived by his siblings: Maureen, Norman, Andre, and Carole.

He was predeceased by his son Sean, whom he carried in his heart always. and his sister Suzanne.

Louis will be remembered for his steady guidance, his generous spirit, and the love he gave so freely. His legacy lives on in the family he cherished and the many lives he touched throughout his years of service and devotion.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
