IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Loretta Mary
Passer
January 20, 1945 – January 26, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Loretta Mary Passer, who left this world peacefully on January 26, 2026, just after her 81st birthday.
Loretta was the beloved wife of Larry Passer and a devoted mother to her children: Susan (Jamie) Passer-Beaulieu, Tate (Karin) Passer, and Jennifer (Derek) Stillar. She was a cherished grandmother to Joshua, Bonnie-Lee, Lucas, Brodie, Katherine, Kassandra, April, and Abigail, and great-grandmother to Rosa-Lee, Scarlet, and Delyla. She is also survived by her brother Paul (Leigh) Gauthier.
Loretta was predeceased by her parents, Olive and Vincent Gauthier, her brother Edward Gauthier, and her sister Joan Gauthier.
A woman who spoke her mind and took orders from no one, Loretta lived life on her own terms. She was a bright light in any crowd—unafraid to shine, fiercely independent, and endlessly loving. For many years, she lovingly cared for her grandchildren while their parents worked, creating bonds and memories that will forever be treasured.
Her passions were as unique as she was: an expert crocheter, a bingo enthusiast, an avid scratch ticket player, and a devoted fan of Stephen King novels. She enjoyed relaxing with a Coors Light and could often be found listening to the music of Neil Diamond. Loretta’s home was always full of life, including her beloved cat Barney—her best friend—her dog Lucy, and Frankie the parrot, whom she lovingly referred to as her “arch enemy.”
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no funeral service. A celebration of her remarkable life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Salvation Army in her memory.
Loretta’s strength, love, and unforgettable spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She has left an indelible mark on her family and friends—a legacy of honesty and warmth.
