Lloyd Gerald Rocque

Following a recent cancer diagnosis, the family of Lloyd Rocque is heartbroken to announce his passing on Monday, November 14, 2022.

Predeceased by his parents: Percy Ellard Rocque and Marie Jeannette (Leblanc), Lloyd is survived by his siblings: Helen (Richard Bissonnette – deceased); Hazel (Richard D’Avignon); Richard Rocque (Gail Beauchamp); Donald Rocque (Marian McIntyre) and Doreen Rocque (Dave Sneddon). He will be greatly missed by his nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nephews, cousins, and friends.

Beloved by all, Lloyd will be remembered for his compassion for others, especially those facing personal challenges, his sense of humour and inner strength. Music, dancing, sharing stories and memories with family and his many friends, truly brought him happiness.

The family would like to express special thanks to his cousins, Janet Tierney and Shelley Decarie, the compassionate staff of the Glebe Centre, and the Ottawa Hospital Palliative Care Unit.

A graveside service at Notre Dame Cemetery and celebration of Lloyd’s life are being planned for Spring 2023.
