Lily Mary Liard

The family announces with sorrow the passing of Lily Mary (née Kaczor) Liard on April 10, 2024 at her residence in Oakville at the age of 95. She is predeceased by parents Frank and Julia Kaczor, husband Paul, and daughter Monique. She was an attentive sister to Wally (Elaine) and Polly (John), all predeceased. Survived by son Dave (Linda), Lily was the proud grandmother of Nicholas (Jessica), Michael (Caroline), Isabelle, and Michelle, and great-grandmother to DJ, with whom she had a special bond. She also leaves behind her special nephew Jeff (Kirstin) and his son Tristan.

Born in Poland and emigrating to Canada as a toddler, Lily was proud of the heritage and traditions passed on to her by her parents and loved to share stories of the many family trips to Florida and California. She would still giggle at memories, believed in healthy eating and keeping up with current events, and had strong convictions on many topics.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Lily’s neighbor Liliana and to Oakville paramedics for their attempts to revive Lily, and to close friends Liz and Pearl for their care and support of Lily over the years. Your kindness will be remembered.

We’ll miss you Lil’ but we know you’ll be happy to be reunited with the many people you loved on this Earth.                

Interment will take place on Monday April 22, 2024 at 10:00am at Beechwood Cemetery located at 7241 Jane Street, Concord, Ontario.
