Leo Norman Koski
January 10, 1932 - October 24, 2023
Leo Norman Koski passed away peacefully in long-term care on Tuesday October 24, 2023 at the age of 91. His loss is greatly felt by his adoring son Alex (Heather). Caring grandfather to Zachary and Sasha. He will be sadly missed by family and friends. Born in Timmins, Leo is predeceased by his wife of 66 years Patricia Audrey Koski (nee Taylor), and parents Aili Elise Ylipelkola and Kalle Vihtori Koski. Leo had a love of amateur radio, model railroading, listening to jazz and country music, and watching classic movies with actors such as Humphrey Bogart and Spencer Tracy. Blessed with quick wit and a comedic delivery that could make even the crustiest exterior erupt into laughter, the void left by the loss of his wonderful sense of humour is great. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses, rehab and support staff of Eatonville Care Centre; Credit Valley Hospital; and the Mississauga LHIN for their outstanding care and compassion.
A private funeral service will be held in celebration of Leo’s life on Thursday November 2nd. Support for the family can be shown via flowers to the Koski household. Alternatively, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
