Lena Myrtle Hislop

Lena Myrtle Hislop passed away peacefully on December 18, 2025, at Hospice Simcoe. She was the loving wife of the late Del Hislop, who predeceased her on January 19, 2014.

Lena was a devoted and proud mother to her daughter Leah (Hutchings), and an adoring grandmother to Dustin (Natalie), Gavin (Emma), and Devon (BJ). She will watch over her three great-grandchildren who are all arriving in 2026.

She is also lovingly remembered by her brother Leonard Rempel, her niece Lynda and her nephew Richard.

Lena loved to golf, play cards with her gals, and enjoy a good Tim Hortons coffee. She valued friendship and family deeply and found joy in life’s simple pleasures.

The family extends sincere gratitude to the nurses at Royal Victoria Hospital and the compassionate staff at Hospice Simcoe for their exceptional care. A special thank you to her dear family friend Lorry and to her best buddy Margie—your love, support, and dedication over so many years will never be forgotten. You are both so deeply cherished.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Hospice Simcoe in memory of Lena.
