Lee Henry Partridge passed away peacefully on May 23, 2026 at the age of 86. Lee is survived by his children Leanne MacLean (Michael), Erin Owen (Giles) and David (Tiffany) and his grandchildren Alex (Brianna) and Maddie (Jon) MacLean, and Jake and Josh Partridge. He was predeceased by his dear wife Shirley (nee Lajoie) in 2008. Also predeceased by his parents, Hank and Mary Partridge of Barrie. He will be missed by Audrey Baker.
After growing up as an only child, Lee valued his relationships that developed with his new found family when he married Shirley in 1966. He will be remembered by Larry and Cathy Lajoie, Don and Ann Lajoie, and Pat Kearney (Neal-deceased) along with his seven nieces and nephews. His memory will be treasured by his life long friend, Joan Cancilla.
The family is grateful for the friendship of his colleagues from the Barrie Ambulance Services from which he retired in 1998 after 31 years. In particular, Tom Winter and Richard MacKenzie continued to laugh at his jokes and listen to his stories right up until his final day. His circle of support also included his cherished cousin, Luana Wood.
Lee’s children will always be grateful to Katherine Stanton and the staff at Mulcaster Mews for creating a safe and comfortable home for Lee for the last year of his life. The warmth and care they shared with Lee and his loved ones during his final days truly demonstrated how they welcomed him as part of their family.
As per his wishes, Lee has been cremated. A private graveside service will be held at St. Mary’s cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Busby Centre or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
