Lea Mary (Russell) Merpaw, born on August 16, 1946, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026.

Lea was the beloved wife of the late Alex Merpaw. She was a devoted mother to John (Susannah) Boisclair, and Albert (Tina) Boisclair. Additionally, Lea held a special place in her heart for her chosen son, Rodney Boisclair.

She was the proud grandmother of Justin (Rebecca) Boisclair, Trevor Boisclair; Courtney Boisclair; Michael Boisclair; Meghan Boisclair; Nathan Boisclair; and Harley Boisclair. Lea’s love extended even further to her great-grandchildren Ellie Boisclair, Benjamin Boisclair, Iris Boisclair, Ryker Brabant (Boisclair), and Maverick Brabant (Boisclair).

Lea is survived by her sisters Thora “Toni” Russell and Sheila Michaud, widow of the late Bob. She also leaves behind her brothers Billy Russell and Joey Russell. Her brothers Franky, Charlie, and Eddie Russell predeceased her. In addition to her immediate family, Lea is remembered and honored by many nieces and nephews who carry forward her memory.

Cremation has taken place, and a graveside service will be scheduled at a later date to honor her life and legacy. The family wishes to express their gratitude for the support and comfort extended to them during this time. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the OSPCA as Lea had a deep love for animals.
