Larry Gordon Lane

Born February 22, 1963, in Montreal, Quebec. Passed April 30, 2025, at St. Vincent Hospital in Ottawa, Ontario. Loving husband of Shelley Featherstone. Brother of Christine Lane. Uncle to Steven (sons, Koby and Cameron) and Corey Wilson. Pre-deceased by parents Delbert Gordon Lane and Edith Evelyn Sharp, and by half-sister Donalda.

Gordon enjoyed learning daily and took an interest in everything from firefighting to geology. He was a senior technician at Bell Canada. This was his second career, which he loved for the challenges of working with technology and people.

For Gordon, gardening was both his joy and nemesis. His dog Dora was his COVID-19 baby. She bonded with him and brought him great happiness through his final days. Gordon will be missed by all who loved him for his leadership, teaching, and sense of humor.

Funeral service will be held at Parkwood

Presbyterian Church, Ottawa, at 3:00 pm on Friday, May 23, 2025. Reception with light refreshments to follow. All friends and family are welcome and appreciated. Interment will take place at a later date in Waterville, Quebec.

Gordon’s family extends special thanks to the staff at St. Vincent Hospital’s rehab for their care and attention. In honor of Larry Gordon, contributions are invited to the Friends of the Ottawa Public Library in lieu of flowers
