Kelvin Lamport, born on April 29, 1952, in the charming coastal town of Newhaven, East Sussex, England, embraced life with a deep appreciation for nature and adventure. He peacefully passed away on May 13, 2025, at Hospice Simcoe in Barrie, Ontario, Canada, held close by his loving family.
His life was a testament to love and connection. Kelvin was predeceased by his beloved wife of 44 years, Anna Lamport (nee Chrismas), his sister and brother-in-law, Christine and Brian Dearne, and his parents, Ralph and Peggy Lamport. His legacy continues through his three children: Sara, Donna (Kevin) Rogler, and Dave (Katie), and his nine cherished grandchildren: Avery, Hannah, Maxwell, Michael, Chloe, Matthew, Phoebe, Daniel, and Caleb. Kelvin's adventurous spirit will also be fondly remembered by his girlfriend and adventure companion, Norma Jean McCreedy, along with his numerous nieces, nephews, extended family in England, and a wide circle of dear friends and colleagues.
Kelvin's passion for hiking and the outdoors was profound, often inspiring his journeys and allowing him to share the beauty of the world with those around him.
A celebration of Kelvin's life will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 10:30 am at Willow Creek Baptist Church, located at 2387 Gill Rd, Midhurst, Ontario.
The family expresses their sincere gratitude for the exceptional and compassionate care provided by the staff at Hospice Simcoe and Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH). In remembrance of Kelvin, memorial donations to Hospice Simcoe would be deeply appreciated
