Keith Stewart McPhail

Keith Stewart McPhail, aged 72, devoted father, talented musician and writer, and unforgettable spirit, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 31, 2025. Keith was known for his passion, his love of music, his endless curiosity, and his joyful storytelling. From the Beatles to Bob Dylan, from the lore of Tolkien to Marvel comics, his passions were wide-ranging, infectious, and always shared generously with those around him.

A gifted storyteller and creative spirit, Keith traveled widely in his youth and wrote a book about his adventures. He continued to create throughout his life, recently completing a sci-fi manuscript. He deeply loved his friends and family, especially his daughter Maggie, always expressing pride and love at every opportunity.

He will be remembered fondly by his loved ones. He was predeceased by his parents, Jessie “Dolly” and Bruce Alexander McPhail, and his brother Earl. He is survived by his wife Jill, his daughter Maggie, and his brother Murray.

The family will be holding an informal gathering for close family and friends to celebrate Keith’s life. There is no set date at this time; those who were close to him will be contacted directly.
