.
June started her family at a very young age and that was her focus for a long time. She started back into the workforce in the early 70's first with Sears Canada, then into Security services for Canada Immigration. By 1979 she started working for the TD Bank. This job was her career and she loved going to work for them everyday. For years she was a specialized courier and before retiring officially in 1999 she ran the central mail room in Mississauga.
.
June was a member of the Cowan Masyrk Club and West Lodge Club for seniors in Parkdale, partaking in many socials in which she lived for. She had many passions in life; Playing Bingo was at the top of the list and she would go at every opportunity. June loved to crochet and made countless blankets for so many people. She also bowled for many years in the Dufferin Lanes house league and was very good at it. She also played baseball for a number of years for the TD Bank (outfielder), that's when she lost half a finger trying to catch a grounder without her glove. June loved most sports, her favourites being hockey and baseball. While she was a devout fan to her home teams she could easily watch other teams and follow the stats of most players and their ranks. As her health declined these sports gave her hours of entertainment and fun – all the things she desired in life.
.
June Gladys Lane had an unending desire to live and move forward through the thick and thin. All that knew her know this to be true!
She was so dearly loved by many and will be dearly missed by more, but most of all June will be remembered as a good woman through and through. The lives she touched are blessed for evermore.
