It is with great sadness but loving hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend June Bartlett, who at age 79, peacefully left this world, surrounded by her loving family at the Almonte General Hospital on January 9, 2026.

Born in Grimsby, Ontario, June was the daughter of the late Allison Bartlett (Muir), and the late Harley David Bartlett. She will also be welcomed into heaven by her daughter Kim Curran (Compton).

June will be greatly missed by her daughter Carrie Leigh Bartlett (Doug), granddaughter Jessica Bartlett (Chad), great-grandsons Liam and Gavin, and survived by her son William (Billy) Bartlett who she always deeply loved and cherished their good memories.

June was a generous and caring person, who welcomed many people into her home, creating a safe space, a nurturing energy and a listening ear. Her love for her family was strong and protective. It was this love that helped her fight her hardest battles. It was the love of her friends (Joanne, Lorrianne and Sandy) that brought laughter and support to her. And it was her granddaughter and great grandsons that brought light into her life. June was a Mother Hen, who now can make us all feel loved and safe with her angelic wings.

June’s daughter Carrie Leigh would like to offer her utmost appreciation and gratitude towards the professional staff of Almonte General Hospital. Over June’s medical journey, the AGH medical team on the Rosamond and Medical Surgical units, became family to her, and their loving support and caring for their dear Miss June/Junie/JuneBug will never be forgotten. A special thank you to Dr. Matthew Tiffany, for always making my mom feel special from the moment she first came to AGH, to the moment she left.

As per June’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and her ashes spread at places that were special to her. A Celebration of Life will commence at a future date in the Spring of 2026.
