Johannes was a graduated geologist from U of Leiden in Holland and did his field work in Spain.

He worked world wide in South Africa, Northern Quebec, Norther Ontario, Labrador, Bolivia, Surinam and Toronto.

Very active in sports, tennis was his passion. Loved classical music.
