Joan Adeline Gough

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Joan Adeline Gough on Friday, March 13th.

Joan was a devoted mother and will be deeply missed by her loving children: sons Glenn, Steve, Keith (wife Debbie), and Chris (and his wife Josee), and daughter Donna Lynn Tomlinson (and her husband Keith). She also leaves behind her loving brother, James Philpott.

Joan was a proud grandmother to twelve grandchildren and had fifteen great-grandchildren, and she took great pride in watching her family grow over the years.

Her strength, kindness, and quiet presence touched all who knew her. She will be remembered for the love and care she shared throughout her life.

A service to celebrate Joan’s life will be held at Barrie Union Cemetery on Thursday, April 30th at 11:00 a.m.

Following the service, all are welcome to join the family for light refreshments at St. Margaret’s Church in Barrie.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Joan’s memory may be made to Hospice Simcoe, Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH), or the Humane Society.

Joan will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
