Joan Eileen Panes (née Brewer)

Peacefully with family by her side at Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie, Ontario.

Beloved wife of the late William Frank Panes (d. 1985) and her late partner, Jack Shinner (d. 2022).

Loving mother of the late David Panes (d. 1989), (Charlene Kay), the late Carolyn (Scharf) (d.1997) (Ken Scharf) and Michael Panes.

A very proud grandmother to Steven Panes (Suzy), Jamie Panes (Kaylee), Shaun Scharf (April), Stacey Scharf (Sara). Great grandmother to Corgan Gray, Joshua Panes, Sebastian Panes, Aryanna Scharf, Shailyn Scharf, Novalee Scharf, Sophia Scharf and Oliver Scharf.

Dear sister to Sandra (Al) Tulloch and nieces Jennifer (Mark) Roberts, Shelley Tulloch, Lisa (Aaron) Dulgar-Tulloch. Her great nieces and great nephew, Alexandra Roberts, Madeline Roberts, Ben Schwarz, Raya Dulgar-Tulloch, Ailyn Dulgar-Tulloch.

She will be sadly missed by all her close cousins, Brian (Maureen) Lane, Jack (Lesia) Lane, Lynda (Ray) Cossette, Jaqueline (Stuart) Ralph, and close family friends of the Georges.

She is predeceased by her parents, William Brewer and Dorothy Burrows.

Celebration of life was held May 26, 2024. Interment in fall of 2024 at Uxbridge Cemetery.
