Jessie Celeen John

Jessie Celeen John was born on August 5, 1960, in Trinidad and Tobago; she went to rest with God on December 11, 2024. Jessie was tenacious and had a vest for life, making those around her feel loved with her infectious smile and kind words. Throughout her life she was ambitious and began pursuing her business dreams, cleaning and hairstyling. She had a deep love for God and practiced her faith daily. 

Jessie’s love for her family was unwavering, she is survived by her loving mother Mary Stewart, her devoted son Shellem Selby and brother Jerry Selby. She adored her grandsons Jacce and Kaden, along with nieced and nephews, Timmeka, Aisha, Nekeesha, Ortis, Kenwyn and Kefing. 

Jessie touched the hearts of many throughout her life, she loved to make others feel good and always had kind words to say. Jessie was a go getter a real fighter until her final days when she rests peacefully with the Lord. She will be greatly missed and had lasting effects on everyone she met. 

We celebrate Jessie’s life and honour her memory, let us hold the dear lessons of love and compassion she imparted to her family and friends. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
