September 16th 1947 – March 2, 2026 Jean Pierre “John” Desjardins, born on September 16th, 1947 in Hawkesbury, Ontario, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2026, surrounded by love ones. He was a loving husband and best friend to Pamela Desjardins, with whom he shared countless adventures and built a home filled with warmth and joy. John was a devoted father to Christopher (Linda), Marcel, and Dwayne (Meghann), and a proud stepfather to Geraint (Sarah), Gareth (Joey), and Ceri (Todd). He was a wonderful Grandpa to Rhiana, Juliette, and Logan, and a cherished brother to Jessie, Roland, Francine, Guy and Gerald. He was predeceased by his parents, Irene and Emelienne. A true outdoorsman, John found joy in fishing, camping, and watching the colours change in the trees. Gifted with the ability to fix or build just about anything, he was always ready to lend a helping hand. His warm laugh, adventurous spirit, and love of life will be forever treasured by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. In lieu of flowers or gifts, donations may be made to The Heart of Hastings Hospice in Madoc, Ontario, in John’s memory.
