It is with sadness that the family announces the death of Jean Elizabeth Harris nee Friars on August 5, 2026. She was the loving wife of the late Norman Vincent (Mitch) Harris, devoted mother to Heather Dawn Barbour (Jim) of Mississauga and Jennifer Harris of Guelph and very proud Grammie to Mitchell, William and Kimberly (John). She is survived by her sisters in law Bea Luke (Ray) and Eloise Maynard of New Brunswick and sister-in-law Dorthy Friars and brother-in-law John Brannen and many cousins, nieces and nephews, dear friends and St. John General classmates across the country. Predeceased by her dear brother Gerald Friars, Sisters Vivian Brannen and Hazel Kilpatrick and brothers-in-law Fred Kilpatrick and Gerry Maynard. Her love of life and people continued till the end. Her service, sacrifice and devotion to the care of others has been an example of living her strong faith. Thank you to the kindness of the staff of CVH 1B and Milton Hospital 2N regional. Celebration of her life will be held at Eden United Church 3051 Battleford Rd, Mississauga August 14. Receiving guests at 1030am Funeral at 11am followed by a luncheon. In leu of flowers a donation to the Ontario Federation for Cerebral Palsy would be appreciated with notification to the family at 3160 Augusta Dr. Mississauga, ON L5N 5E3.
