It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Jason Charles MacNeil on August 28, 2026, at the age of 42.
He will be deeply missed by his wife, Amanda, and their two cherished daughters, Annabella and Kendrah, who were the absolute center of his world.
Jason is survived by his devoted mother, Kathy; sister, Murielle (Scott); brother, Daniel (Mellisa); nephews, William (Yasmin) and Alex (Hannah); and his great-niece, Liliana. He is reunited in peace with his late father, Daniel.
A hardworking man of faith, Jason brought dedication and a quiet leadership to everything he did, including his more than ten years of service as a valued Curtiss-Wright employee. Beyond his professional life, he was a lifelong, enthusiastic Blue Jays fan who loved camping, music, and softball.
Above all, Jason will be remembered for his extraordinary compassion and the unconditional kindness he extended to everyone he crossed paths with. His unwavering love created a foundation of strength and joy for his family that time can never erase.
His loss leaves a void that can never truly be filled, but the legacy of his character, his faith, and his love will live on in the hearts of those who knew him best.
Forever loved, forever remembered, missed always.
A private celebration of life will be held at The Met Church in Ottawa.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Jason’s memory to the Canadian Mental Health Association.
