Obituary

It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Jason (Jay) Brosseau, at the age of 44, on October 25, 2026.

Raised in Pincourt, Quebec, Jason spent the last 24 years of his life in Williamstown, Ontario, where he built a life filled with friendship and countless cherished memories. He was a son, a brother, and a friend whose presence brought people together and whose absence will be felt deeply by all who knew and loved him.

Jason leaves behind his loving parents, Peter Brosseau and Michelle Tothfaluse (née Paré); his identical twin brother, Nicholas; and his sister, Melissa. He also leaves behind his cherished rescue dog, Buddy, who held a very special place in his heart. His beloved rescue dog, Diggs, who passed away two years ago, will forever be part of Jason’s story. We find comfort in imagining that they are together again, reunited at last, with Diggs by Jason’s side once more.

Jason had a natural talent for mechanics, and it was his skill, dedication, and passion for his craft that made him such a special mechanic. He took great pride in his work, bringing knowledge, determination, and heart to everything he did. His love for rally car racing was evident in the care and commitment he gave to his work, helping race teams achieve titles and bring home trophies. Jason was truly gifted at what he did, and his talent and dedication will always be remembered as an important part of who he was.

Beyond the world of racing, music was another great love of Jason’s. An amazing drummer, he had a deep appreciation for music and the joy it brought into his life.

But perhaps one of Jason’s greatest gifts was his ability to make people feel welcome. His shop was more than a place to work; it was a gathering place for friends and family, a place filled with conversation, laughter, and camaraderie. He was always happy to open his doors and share his space with the people he cared about, often posting a simple invitation that said it all: “Shop’s open, drop on by.” Those words were so much more than an invitation. They were a reflection of Jason’s generous spirit, his love of friendship, and his way of making sure there was always room for one more.

In his honour, the family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Ontario SPCA, continuing the kindness and care for animals that meant so much to him.

Jason will be deeply missed by his family and his multitude of friends. The memories made with him, the laughter shared, the music played, the stories told, and the countless moments spent together will forever remain in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known him.

Though his time with us was far too short, the love he gave and the lives he touched will never be forgotten.

We are forever grateful to have called him our son, our brother, and our friend. Jason was loved by so many, and he leaves behind a space in our lives that can never truly be filled.

We will carry his memory with us always, finding comfort in the love we shared and in the beautiful moments that will remain ours forever.

Rest easy, Jay. May you finally be at peace. You were loved more than words can ever express, and you will be loved forever.
