It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Janice Sanosa on July 6, 2024. Full of love, laughter, and resilience, she touched the lives of all who knew her. To commemorate her incredible journey and to celebrate the love she spread, a visitation will be held at St. John's Dixie Crematorium on Sunday, July 14th. We invite all who knew her to join us in remembering a truly remarkable person.
Janice Sanosa was a beloved daughter, sister, partner, and friend. She was born to Erlinda (Cabillan) and the late Eboy Sanosa, and was a cherished sister to Nacisa (Chiza) and Dante.
In January 2004, Janice was sponsored by her uncle, Clemente Cabillan, to care for Nanang and Tatang (grandmother and grandfather) in Canada. This journey marked the beginning of her new life in a new country. In 2007, Janice found love and companionship with her partner, Normie Mendoza, who fondly describes her as loving, caring, and supportive.
Janice had a passion for cooking, often filling her home with the delightful aromas of her culinary creations. She will be missed for her pancit and pandesal, mouthwatering treats that she lovingly prepared for her friends’ and family’s birthdays.
She had an extraordinary talent for fixing and improving things around the house including refurbishing old chairs. She was an excellent house painter, transforming her home, her old condo, and even the homes of her cousins with her skillful brushstrokes.
Janice cherished her time at home, tending to her thriving plants. Her garden was her pride and joy, where she lovingly grew kankong, kamatis, and talong (vegetables), which she was excited to share with her friends. Janice's generosity and thoughtfulness were evident in these simple, heartfelt gestures.
Janice maintained a close bond with her family. At the beginning and end of each day she would call her mom and say "Love you." She was also very close to her sister, Nacisa (Chiza), always excited to bring home special gifts for her whenever she travelled back home to Matagok. She was also an amazing aunt, making herself always available to her nieces and nephews and truly cared for them.
Janice Sanosa leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, and kindness. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. May her memory live on to bring comfort to those she left behind.
The family invites you to join them for reception off-site after the service. Details will be provided in person.
For guests that are not able to attend in person, you may join virtually via our Livestream Link.
