Janice Beatrice Helen Hunt

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Janice Beatrice Helen Hunt daughter of the late Jack and Helen Hunt. Janice departed peacefully at the age of 85 on June 4th 2025 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's, cancer, and Parkinson's. She is now at peace.

Janice found her deepest joy and tranquility at the family cottage, particularly when she was out on the water. She also loved nothing more than sitting down on the dock with a good book and a cocktail. These cherished moments, filled with the laughter of family and friends, created a lifetime of treasured memories. She also had a love for animals, especially her beloved cat, Bootsy.

Janice is predeceased by her husband, Godfrey Russell. She is lovingly remembered by her children: Curtis Wolowich (Lori), Stephen Wolowich, and Kerry Brockie (Darryl). Janice is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Lisa Wolowich, and her cherished grandchildren: Kayla, Makenna, Carly, Jesse, and Jamie. She will also be dearly missed by her many cousins, nieces, and nephews who loved her so much.

A celebration of Janice's life will be held later in the summer. Details will be shared with family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Janice's name to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
