James Howard Snider

Dr. Jim Snider was passionate about his family, surgery, farming and service to others. A loving father, he has always been supportive and proud of his four children, all of whom have benefited from his love, intelligence, kindness and humour. His professional life at Cambridge Memorial Hospital included stints as Chief of Surgery and Chief of Staff. He developed and enjoyed many wonderful, enduring relationships with staff and patients alike. Lifelong service to others included various trips to Africa and South America, accompanied by he wife, Janice, to share his medical skills with others less fortunate. Dr. Snider was a life long member of Wanner Mennonite Church where he served in many different capacities throughout his life. Jim loved to farm and found great joy in caring for his cattle and working his fields. Always a family affair, Farming with Jim was an opportunity to learn for children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
