James "Woody" McDonald

It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of James (Woody) McDonald originally from Ajax Ont. Oct.13/47 - May 15/23. Passed away peacefully at Royal Victoria Hospital Barrie after a long battle with cancer. He is predeceased by his father James Thomas McDonald and mother Annie (nee Cherry). Survived by his wife Karen (nee Laabs) and his beloved dog Stella. His sisters Helen Anderson and Joanna (Joey) Walsh. Step dad to Brian MacLeod, Brendan MacLeod, Barb Clancy, Allan Davidson and Sherri Rice. Loving brother-in-law to Dianne & Terry, David & Karen, Gail & Ivan, June & Todd, Larry & Connie, Phyllis & Andre and Robert & Terry. Poppa to Jade, Andrew, Sara, Emily, Ben, Matthew, Aaron, Liam, Skye, Ivan and Ricky. Great grand Poppa to Rowan.

A special thank you to the doctors and staff at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre who took such good care of Woody.

A memorial service will be held Sunday May 28 @ 2:00 pm at Basic Funeral Home 153 Bradford St. Barrie Ont.
