Born:  Montpelier, VT
Died:  Alexander Place LTC, Waterdown, Ontario

Survived by her loving husband Philippe Loranger, 68 years of marriage
Children Irene (Otto), butch (deceased 1993), Catherine (Glenn), (deceased 2003), Colette, Frank (Melissa), Joseph (Teresa) and Marc.  

Memere will be missed by 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.  
She is predeceased by her parents Frank Somers and Irene Somers (Desautels) and 2 sisters Elizabeth and Dawn 

Mom was raised in Vermont then moved to Canada in 1955 after getting married, to start their family where they raised their 7 children in the Niagara Region.

In 1979 they moved to Florida until 2015, where they relocated in the Halton region to be near their children.  

Mom was mostly a stay at home Mom, but held a variety of part-time positions in Welland and Florida.

When not baking, doing needlepoint, or knitting, mom was busy being involved in the Catholic Church and donating blood reaching a total of 6 gallons.  We will all miss the smell of her Danishes and pies.

A Celebration of Life will take place on June 1st 2024 from 2:00 – 5:00pm at Fonthill Legion Hall. Address  141 Hwy 20 E, Fonthill, ON L0S 1E0

The family would like to thank Tamara and the PSW’s at Wellington Terrace for the care they provided to Mom for six years before moving to Alexander Place.  A heartfelt thanks to the staff at Alexander Place for their care and compassion during her stay over the past year.
