Hugh Miller

On March 14, 2024, we lost our dad, Hugh after a short battle with cancer.  He was predeceased by his amazing wife, Liz, in 2012.  He was predeceased by his sister, Ellen in 2021.

He will be dearly missed by his sons, Darren (Krissy) and Ross; his grandson, Jack; his sister-in-law, Rita Neilson; niece, Yvonne and nephew, Scott.

He was born on April 10, 1945, in Glasgow, Scotland to Hugh and Annie Miller. He worked as an apprentice at the Albion.  On November 5, 1966, he married the love of his life, ‘Liz’ Elizabeth (nee Neilson).  They had two sons and immigrated to Canada in 1981.  He worked as a machinist at Foster-Wheeler and Ferrante-Packard until retiring in 2005.  He was instrumental in creating the St. Catharines Rangers Golf League in 1986 which is still flourishing.

He loved football, golf and of course, his friends and family.  He had wonderful friends that our family is forever grateful for.

We are planning a celebration of life in June.
