Howard Anthony Amo, 79, of Oakville, ON, passed away on October 12, 2026 in his home after a courageous and hard-fought 4 year battle following a stroke.

Howard was born on March 29, 1947 in Georgetown, Guyana. He immigrated to Canada in 1972 in the Toronto area, eventually finding his forever home in the suburbs of Oakville.

Retired in 2019 following a long career in the financial district of Downtown Toronto, leaving a lasting impression to his peers and colleagues. An avid pianist, he enjoyed listening to his extensive music collection, cheering for his favorite soccer team, and enjoyed watching tennis.

He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his children Deborah (Tynan), Hendrik, Jason and Grand-children Zoe, Declan (Tynan), Jordyn, Ciaron (Tynan) and siblings Sven, Elton, Philippa (Willims), Philip.

A funeral service will be held on October 19, 2026 at 11:00am at Forest Lawn Cremation Centre.
