Heather Hutchinson

April 2, 1947 — July 14, 2025

Heather passed away peacefully at Royal Victoria Hospital at 11:55am, on the 14th of July 2025, with her beloved Husband of 17 years, Marcel Gaudet by her side.

Heather was predeceased by her parents, Walter, Lillian and her youngest sister Margaret Anne, and her step-grandson Alexandre.

Heather is survived by her remaining, loving siblings, Lawrence (Sharon), Jacquelyn, Michael (Karel) and Cathy (Gregory Curtis), nieces and nephews Kevin, Ky, Graham, Kelsey, Andi, McKenna, Josh and husband Marcel's daughters, Sandy (Terry) & Tara (Guy) along with their children Austin, Lucas, Samantha, Claudie and Sharen. And long-time high school friend Sharron Hicks.

Heather was raised on a 5th line of Oro farm between the Mitchell Square side road and the old Barrie Road and attended SS#6 Edgar public school and Barrie District North Collegiate.

When our mother passed on the 31st of March 1963, 2 days before Heather's 16th birthday, she gathered her five younger siblings under her wing and took over as a dedicated, protective mother figure in our lives. Forced into adulthood at too early an age, her renowned stubbornness served her well.

Heather trained as a Respiratory Technician at Toronto General. During her time as a respiratory technician, she flew on medical missions across northern Ontario—once sharing a cold stop with aviation executive Wayne Millard, who offered her his coat. That quiet gesture spoke to the care and respect she inspired in others, wherever she went. Heather was also an RT in Royal Victoria Hospital Barrie. Later she resided for many years in the village of Hillsdale operating Voyager Antiques, and Simcoe District Respiratory services, before moving to Barrie in late 2022. She had a great passion for antique collecting, writing poetry and genealogy and an even greater passion for her husband Marcel.

She will be forever missed and forever in our hearts.
