Ed Olsen passed away peacefully at 69 years of age on Monday May 11, 2026, at St. Patrick’s Home of Ottawa after a brief stay. He had been suffering from PSP (Progressive Supranuclear Palsy).

Survived by his common-law wife of 14 years, Pauline Lavoie, his 2 sons Erik (& Caitlin) and Nils (& Kathleen) as well as his 2 grandsons George and Harold. He is also survived by his brothers; Jonathan, Peter (& Rose), and Andrew (& Penny) and stepsiblings Val (& Jon), Sam, and Jeff (& Rose) and stepmother Starr along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his father, Harold and mother, Lois.

A celebration of life will be held at his step- sister’s farm on Saturday May 16th, 2026.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ed’s name to the PSP Society of Canada.
