It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gui Yan Li (李贵燕), who left us on September 6, 2026, at the age of 87. Gui Yan had a long and successful career as a chemical engineer at the largest pharmaceutical company in southern China. She was intelligent and always kept up with the latest technologies. Her warm and caring nature made her well liked and respected in her community.

Gui Yan was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Shu Ren (树人). She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Colette, her grandchildren, Winston and Michelle, her son-in-law, Wenjie, her long-time beloved friend, Lumina, and her relatives and friends.

A private family service will be held in her memory.
