After a courageous battle, Grace gained her wings to heaven to join her life partner, Leo. Grace is predeceased by her parents, Magaret Massia (nee Potter) and Aime Massia, and her sister, Bernadette (Gilles). Grace will be missed by her siblings, Robert (Marilyn), Dennis (Monique), Christine (Paul) and Danny, her nine nieces and nephews, twelve great-nieces and nephews and three great-great-nieces and nephews.
Grace’s sister Christine would like to send her gratitude and appreciation to the organizations who provided her with support and exceptional care for Grace during her cancer journey; the Irving Greenberg Cancer Centre of the Queensway Carleton Hospital, the Community Palliative Medicine Associates (CPMA) and the Carefor Nurses.
At Grace’s wishes a funeral mass will be held at St. Anthony’s Church, 427 Booth Street, Ottawa on Friday, October 2, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., burial to follow funeral mass at Hope Cemetery, 4660 Bank Street, Ottawa. After Grace’s internment, Christine would like to invite everyone to join in a lunch back at St. Anthony’s Church lower reception hall.
