In loving memory of Glenda Lee Farrell Talon

January 6, 1961- June 21, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Glenda Lee Farrell Talon, who left us peacefully on June 21, 2025, at Simcoe Hospice in Barrie, Ontario.

Born into the loving Farrell family, Glenda brought warmth, wit, and unwavering love into the lives of all who knew her. She is deeply mourned by her devoted daughter, Elisha Talon, partner Julian, and her cherished grandchildren, Kieran and Rory, who brought her endless joy and pride.

Glenda is survived by her beloved mother Margaret Farrell, and held forever in memory by her late father, William Grant Farrell. She shared her life and love with her partner, Sylvia Murdoch, whose companionship was a beautiful chapter in Glenda’s journey.

A treasured sister, Glenda is survived by Grant Farrell and his partner Marie, and by Graeme Farrell and his wife Jaimie, along with their children Hunter, Ryder, and Emery.

Known for her love to entertain, contagious smile, generous heart, and unwavering willingness to help others—especially if it involved BBQing a steak—Glenda brought joy and kindness into every space she entered. Her warmth was a source of comfort, her humor infectious, and her grill skills legendary.

Glenda was a long-time and dedicated employee of City of Barrie Transit, where her hardworking spirit and vibrant personality made her a beloved colleague and friend to many.

Glenda’s kindness, quiet strength, and joyful spirit will be remembered in every shared story, in every laugh that echoes at family dinners, and in every moment of care and grace she gave to others. Her memory lives on in the hearts of those she loved deeply—and who loved her right back.

In accordance with Glenda’s wishes, a Walk of Life was held through the flower gardens at Simcoe Hospice, reflecting her love of beauty, nature, and serenity.

Words cannot express the family’s immense gratitude to the volunteers and staff at Simcoe Hospice, whose kindness, care, and compassion made Glenda’s final days truly peaceful and full of love.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations in her memory to Simcoe Hospice, whose compassionate care provided comfort in her final days.

Her life was a gift. Her love remains a legacy.
