Sad to announce the passing of my mother Gladys Kraker — August 12, 2026

Gladys Kraker, a long‑time and deeply cherished resident of Richmond Hill, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2026. Her life was defined by devotion—to her family, her faith, her work, and the community she loved.

A retired Registered Nurse from Branson Hospital, Gladys dedicated her career to caring for others with skill, compassion, and unwavering steadiness. Her patients and colleagues remembered her as someone who brought calm, competence, and kindness into every room she entered.

Outside of her profession, Gladys found joy in the simple beauties of life. She was an avid gardener whose flowers were a source of pride and serenity, and a devoted bird‑watcher who delighted in the rhythms of nature. Her home was always warm and welcoming; she loved hosting dinner parties, gathering friends and family around her table, and filling her home with laughter over board games and shared stories.

Gladys was an active and faithful member of the Richmond Hill Seventh‑day Adventist Church, where she contributed her time, energy, and gentle spirit to the life of the congregation.

She was a wonderful mother to Ken Kraker (Dannie Choy), Cindy Naismith (Dean), and Debbie Maguire (Rick).

She was a loving grandmother to her three grandchildren—Christopher Naismith(Rebecca) ,Andrew Naismith, and Scarlett Matthews—and a proud great‑grandmother to her three great‑grandchildren, each of whom brought her immeasurable joy.

Gladys will be remembered for her warmth, her generosity, her steadfast faith, and the way she made every person feel valued. Her legacy lives on in the family she adored and the many lives she touched.
