Giorgio "George" Zanone

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Giorgio "George" Zanone, a loving brother, uncle, and friend who left us suddenly and peacefully on January 28th, 2024, in Ottawa, Ontario, at the age of 74.
George was one of four children born to Alfredo and Paola in Varallo, Piedmont, Italy on May 23rd, 1949. He was predeceased by his beloved sister Maria Eugenia.
George is survived by his siblings Gianni and Gabriella, his brother-in-law Silvano and sister-in-law Gavina, his Aunt Bice, his nephews Paola & Roberto, Andrea & Daniela and Simone & Alessandra, his grandnephews Filippo, Samuele, Morena and Federico, his cousins in Italy and Switzerland and by his beloved friends in Italy and Canada.
George traveled a lot, spending part of his early working life also in Germany and Switzerland before immigrating to Canada in the late 1970’s, where he started working very hard in the catering and hospitality business, which was the path he remained on until his retirement. A hard worker, he was always willing to help others. He was known for his warm, kind, and cheerful personality,
He will be held dear in the hearts of his family, relatives and many friends spread around the world.
