Gertrude (Trudy) Schuiteboer

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Gertrude (Trudy) Schuiteboer on Sunday, May 11, 2025. Survived by her children Gary (Nancie), Kevin (Dorothy), Margaret (Martin) and Ken (Heidi) and her brother Merrill Davidson.

Loved grandmother of Jason, Shawn, Joshua and Benjamin. Loved sister-in-law of Rachele along with several nieces and nephews. Special mention to brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Joe and Hilda, who have given unwavering support and love.

Predeceased by her husband Jan Schuiteboer, brother Brian, sister Margaret, and brother in laws and sister in laws, Gerrett, Dina, Maria, Hiltje, Albert, Wihelmena, and Arlene. Funeral service will be held at St Andrew’s United Church in Cumberland on Sun May 25, 2025 at 1 pm. Internment to follow after funeral service, at Dales Cemetery in Cumberland.

The family would like to thank the staff at St. Patrick’s Nursing Home in Ottawa for their care over the last 8 years. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by family.
