It is with great sadness that the family of Gerhard Erich Mueller announce the passing of our loving husband, father, and Opi in his 80th year at Markham Stouffville Hospital.

Gerhard leaves behind his beloved wife, Karin; his daughter, Yvette (David); his cherished grandchildren, Stefanie (Paul) and Alexander (Farah); and his treasured great-granddaughter, Liliana.

Born in Berlin, Germany, Gerhard immigrated to Canada at the age of 17 in search of new opportunities and a brighter future. He was predeceased by his mother, Erika Müller.

At just 20 years old, Gerhard met the love of his life, Karin. Together they built a wonderful life, raised a family, and created a legacy that will live on through the generations he leaves behind.

A dedicated Mechanical Engineer, Gerhard took great pride in his work and truly loved his profession. Outside of work, he enjoyed golfing, bowling, collecting stamps, and spending time playing Euchre with friends. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his quiet strength, his sense of humour, and the many special memories he created with those who knew and loved him.

We have been blessed with countless cherished moments that will remain in our hearts forever. Dad, you will be deeply missed every day.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Palliative Care Team and the nurses at Markham Stouffville Hospital for the compassionate care and support they provided during Gerhard’s final days.
