Geraldine (Geri) Mary Smith

Passed away suddenly at her condo in Toronto following a brief illness. Geri was born in Hamilton, Ontario and was a former resident of Kitchener ,Ontario. Geri was a 35 year veteran of Canadian Broadcast News. Colleagues at the Canadian Press have expressed their respect and admiration of Geri; and many have commented on how much they enjoyed working with her over the years. Geri had a special love for all animals and in particular, her beloved cats. Geri will be deeply missed by her loving mother Mary; with whom she enjoyed an especially deep bond. She is predeceased by her father William (Bill) and by her sister Francis. Friends are invited to join us for a Funeral Mass on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at11:00 am at St. Louis Catholic Church (53 Allen Street East, Waterloo, Ontario N2J 1J3).There will be a reception immediately following the service downstairs in the Parish Hall.
