Geraldine Ruby Hanna (née Pendergast), a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at the May Court Hospice in Ottawa, Ontario, at the age of 59.

Born on May 24, 1966, Geraldine was the daughter of the late Dorothy Pomeroy and Gerald Pendergast.

Geraldine had a beautiful spirit and found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was happiest when surrounded by those she loved—her family and friends. A dedicated reader, she could often be found immersed in her favorite novels by Danielle Steele. She also loved listening to music and the excitement of playing bingo. Geraldine's generous heart and loving nature will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is lovingly remembered by her two sisters, Bonita Leslie (Bill Leslie) and Dorothy Pendergast; and her brother, Rick Pendergast (Emelie Pendergast).

Predeceased by her brother Ronnie Pendergast and her sister Elaine Jobin.

Geraldine was the devoted and cherished mother of four daughters: Jessica Larabie (Daniel), Jennifer Nickerson (Andrew), Amanda Rochon (Matt), Monica Rochon (Jordan), and stepson Bryce Hanna (Jill). Her legacy of love continues through her nine grandchildren and her great-grandson, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held in May 2026. Details regarding the time and location will be announced by the family at a later date.
