It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gerald (Gerry) Watson on October 21st, 2024, at the age of 83.
Gerry, born in Alfred, Ontario, was the oldest son of the late Joseph and Gertrude Watson and brother to Jack, Barb, Irene and Joe. Predeceased by his beloved wife Emma, he will be lovingly remembered by his children Shannon and Sean (Laura) and furry friends Finley, Farley and Murphy.
Gerry leaves behind a legacy of love of family, resilience, determination and never-ending hope in the face of insurmountable challenges. He lived life with humour, kindness and a deep faith in God.
We would like to thank the staff at Symphony Senior Living Orleans and Maxville Manor for their amazing care and love for dad over these past many years.
He will be deeply missed and loved forever.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday November 29th at 11 a.m. at the Hope Cemetery Chapel, 4660 Bank Street, followed by an Irish celebration. Should you wish to honor Gerry, donations to the Maxville Manor Foundation are appreciated.
May the road rise to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the sunshine warm upon your face
The rains fall soft upon your fields
And until we meet again
May god hold you in the palm of his hand
