It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Genowefa Kunicki on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at her home in Mississauga, Ontario, at the age of 77.
Born in Poland, Genowefa lived a rich life defined by her extraordinary talents and adventurous spirit. She was a gifted seamstress, creating and mending clothes with a meticulous care that was her unique expression of love for her family. Her creativity extended to the kitchen, where she was an excellent cook who delighted in sharing traditional Polish cuisine, and to the garden, where she was an avid gardener who transformed her front lawn into a breathtaking display of flowers.
Genowefa was a world traveler who enjoyed visiting places like Russia, Germany, Amsterdam, and Austria, and she was fluent in many European languages. She embraced life with curiosity, maintaining interests in geography, politics, and animals, particularly fish. She was the life of every party, and sharing laughter with her was a true blessing.
She was the cherished wife of Tadeusz Kunicki and the devoted mother of Margaret Bellissimo (Vincenzo Bellissimo). Genowefa was a treasured "Babcia" to her grandchildren, Alyssa Bellissimo (Trevor Lompa) and Brandon Bellissimo.
Genowefa was deeply loved in life, and her strength, warmth, and joyful spirit will be remembered and loved in her passing.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you plant a flower in your garden in her memory.
