With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to Gary “Relic” Rennick, who passed away on January 16, 2026 at the age of 79.

Gary was a Dad who showed his love in the way he knew best—through time, humour, and the kind of steady presence you could count on. He was the proud father of Will (Brigette) and grandfather to Tyler.

He’s reunited now with his parents, Colette and Charles, and leaves behind his siblings Jeff (Kelly), Don (Sandy), and Gail. He will also be missed by Brian, whom he considered his "adopted son."

A skilled autobody repair man by trade, Gary had a lifelong passion for old cars, rod runs, and the simple joy of a cold beer shared among friends. He found peace in long drives through the countryside and enjoyed joking around and spending time with his grandson. His easy humour, steady hands, and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

The family is deeply grateful to the staff at St. Vincent Hospital, who brought light, comfort, and kindness to Gary’s last few years.
