Garry Lawrence Scharf of Ottawa passed away peacefully on April 19, 2026, at the age of 86.

Beloved husband of Mary (née Young). Loving father of Glenn (Chrystal), Tanya (Dave), and David (Heather Heatley). Cherished grandfather of Matthew, Liam, Ryan, Savannah, Saxon, Parker, Preston, and Porter. Proud great-grandfather of Mason. Dear brother of Corinne (Bill OKell). Fondly remembered by nieces Sharon and Sheila (Todd Taylor), great-nieces and great-nephew, and by many cousins and friends.

Garry was predeceased by his parents Lawrence & Hazel Scharf and his brother Grant Scharf.

A man of God, biker, drywaller, farmer, and friend to all, Garry’s faith and love for family guided his life.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Capital City Bikers Church, 155 Carillon St, Vanier.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Garry’s memory may be made to Capital City Bikers Church.
