Frida Jabs

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Frida Jabs on September 22nd, 2025, in Bradford at the age of 95. She was born as summer opened and left us as Summer closed.

Beloved wife of the late Ewald Jabs. Loving mother to Doris (Mike) Thompson, Sandra (Peter) Robson and Ellen (Bill) Andronek. Proud Oma to Tara (Nolin) LeChasseur; William Robson; Aaron (Amanda) Robson; Katelyn Robson, Brittany Thompson, Brandon Thompson, and Jordan Thompson. Cherished by her Great Grandchildren; Charter and Maddie LeChasseur. She was one of six siblings Arnold, Wilhem, Heinz, Elsa and Klara Ratz.

Frida reflected an entire generation that understood how to celebrate life by sharing stories around a kitchen table with food, drink, song, and laughter. She lived boldly with endless curiosity, seeing infinite beauty in gardens and birds. She expressed herself in full colour with an appreciation of food, teaching us how to embrace fun. She was a carefree spirited individual who enjoyed music, reading, puzzles and taking walks. Deeply proud of all her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. Listening to stories of her family brought a sparkle in her eyes; especially when they revealed a bit of cheekiness.
