Frank was born February 16, 1951 in New Waterford, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia
He was the son of Frances Olive Desveaux and Joseph Paul Desveaux, and was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Carl Deveaux, Geraldine Poirier, Iris Petras, Patricia Thompson, Paul Desveaux, Joanne Deveau & James Desveaux.
Frank lived in Stirling & Belleville Ontario and managed the Belleville branch of NEDCO Electrical Wholesale until his retirement in 2009. In February 2020 he moved to Good Samaritan Long Term Care, in Alliston Ontario, where he received exceptional care and where they “will miss his quick wit”, which is a gentle description of Frank’s sharp humour by very kind workers.
Franks greatest loves were his step-daughter Janice and music. He especially loved playing guitar with his “band brothers” in the “Geezers”. He was also an enthusiastic photographer and enjoyed sailing with his close friend Robert (Bo) Kirouac, until a boating mishap sank their boat but which the two sailors survived. For some reason they stopped sailing after that incident.
He is survived by his step-daughter Janice Elder-Smith, siblings Donna Levesque, Irene Giroux, Brian Desveaux, Lynn Deveaux, Darlene Desveaux, and his many nieces & nephews.
Frank died May 20, 2025 at Stephenson Memorial Hospital in Alliston after a short illness. He had requested that any donation considered in his memory be made to the Hospital for Sick Children.
As the song by Sean Rowe says, he “just wanted to leave something behind”. Hopefully he will live on in the memories of his loved ones.
